PSA hosts shareholder's meeting

CABO SAN LUCAS, Mexico - PSA conducted its annual meeting here in early October and for the first time involved vendors at the event.

As part of the meeting, the organization hosted interactive business sessions that featured PSA members and others speaking about their success, ideas and providing other information, said Bill Bozeman, president of PSA.

At the meeting, Darryl Keeler, president of Tech Systems, was elected to the PSA board and Bob Bundy, a PSA founder, was honored as PSA Man of the Year.
Securitas growth in line with expectations

STOCKHOLM - Securitas AB posted a profit in its third quarter and and an increase in its U.S. security division.

Company officials said the target for its US security division remains unchanged at a long term organic growth rate of six to eight percent, and an average annual increase in operating margin of 0.5 percentage points. However officials said the division will likely experience some pressure on organic growth in 2003 "if current economic conditions in the U.S. persist."
Greater Alarm golf event raises funds

IRVINE, Calif. - The Fifth Annual Greater Alarm Charity Golf Classic raised $30,000 for Kids Cancer Connection and Child Share, two Southern California charities.

The event was conducted Sept. 27 at Talega Club in San Clemente, Calif. Since Greater Alarm first began hosting the event five years ago, it has raised $182,000 for charities.

Manufacturers and distributors in the industry helped sponsor the event, including Elan Home Systems, Bosch Security Systems, GE Interlogix, HID Corp., ADI, King Central / Monital and Yamaha Electronics Corp.
