Michel named board chairman at VisionTek
SUPERIOR, Colo. - Peter Michel, the former chief executive officer of Brink’s Home Security and current chairman of the Security Industry Association’s Homeland Security Advisory Council, has been named board chairman at VisionTek.

According to Frank Taylor, president and chief executive officer of VisionTek, a provider of mobile data software for public safety agencies, Michel brings strategic marketing and operational experience in the security industry as the company looks to develop information interoperability for first responders.
De Marco named VP of CAA Southern Region

IRVINE, Calif. - George De Marco, owner of security company Greater Alarm, has been elected vice president of the California Alarm Association’s Southern Region.

For the past two years, De Marco served as sergeant at arms and on the board of the Western Burglar & Fire Alarm Association’s unilateral apprenticeship and training committee.

In this new role, De Marco is responsible for the southern chapters of CAA and serves on the CAA Executive Committee.
Diebold incorporates power quality program

HAYDEN, Idaho - Diebold has partnered with Transtector Systems to heighten security and reduce service issues for surveillance systems in retail banking operations.

As part of the alliance, Diebold will incorporate Transtector’s Power Quality Program, which is based on advanced technology suppression solutions and a systematic approach to ensure power quality on an individual site basis.

Diebold representatives will survey locations and then install the appropriate power protection equipment to eliminate any problems.
