HONOLULU - A security guard firm that filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection earlier this year and tried to initiate a sale of the company as part of those proceedings has had its case dismissed, leaving the company to sort out how it plans to pay more than $1.5 million owed to the Internal Revenue Service, lawyers and other creditors.

CENTERVILLE, Ohio - A systems integrator who ran into some financial troubles under the direction of former management is now getting back on track, after the two sons of the founder of Matrix Systems have rejoined the company and its day-to-day operations.

The trouble began earlier this year when the state of Ohio levied a lien against the company for unpaid taxes and AT&T and Fifth Third Bank filed lawsuits claiming unpaid bills.

Local security firm secures Soldier Field

CHICAGO - Soldier Field, the newly renovated football field called home by the Chicago Bears, is being secured by local security firm Monterrey Security.

The firm beat out five other companies to win the 36-month contract that involves supervising the stadium’s access control and surveillance system.

More employees and customers prompt the relocation

SAN DIEGO - Systems integrator Greater Alarm has moved one of its Southern California branch offices to larger office space that will better house its growing employee and customer operations, company officials announced in late September.

The move of the company’s San Diego County branch office from Carlsbad to San Diego will give the branch more breathing room and will relocate that branch’s employees closer to its 300 customers.
